About
I am a “worker bee” bioinformatics scientist who lives in Somerville, Massachusetts, within walking distance of my job in Cambridge. I have a Ph.D. in molecular biology, and I have been making a living doing bioinformatics since 1993.
This blog and website reflect my interests in biology, astronomy, computing, statistics, and bioinformatics.
Lest anyone should think otherwise, I speak only for myself here.
I used to have a web site at http://bifx.org/, but I abandoned it in 2006 because I didn’t have time to maintain it. The pages from that site are now available here. (The bifx.org domain is now owned by the Bioinformatics Organization.)
